She is only 55 years young but interest in Barbie is continuing to plummet.

The doll’s maker Mattel Inc has reported its sixth straight drop in quarterly worldwide sales as it focuses on turning around its business and launching toys to make up for Barbie’s declining fortunes.

The toymaker’s net sales fell about 2.5 percent to around €920 million in the first three months of the year.

Mattel is facing stiff competition from merchandise linked to Frozen, Disney’s highest grossing animated film, as well as gaming consoles and Lego.
