Following the death of 10 soldiers in an ambush carried out by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC), President Juan Manual Santos ordered a resumption of airstrikes against rebel positions. Nevertheless, he said that the peace talks currently underway in Havana would proceed.
