Mexico's National Human Rights Commission has called on the country's immigration and federal police authorities to protect a caravan of more than 200 Central American migrants and rights defenders who have been beseiged by police in the southern state of Oaxaca. The caravan headed by Father Solalinde seeks to call attention to constant abuses suffered by migrants. The caravan had planned to travel to the nation's capital by bus, but due to police threats received by the bus company, the Caravan now says it will make the journey by foot.
