The Real USA - Environmental Film Festival draws crowds in DC

Climate Change, pollution, food sovereignty, endangered species, global warming, e-waste and alternative energy sources were some of the topics featured in the 23rd annual Environmental Film Festival in Washington DC at the end of March. It is the largest and most important showcase for this type of films in the United States. Founded with the aim of using the power of film to foster environmental education and awareness about the damage being done to the planet, the festival presented 160 films from all the world’s continents, Latin America was represented by selections from Mexico, Colombia, Cuba and Ecuador. teleSUR
