Yoga, a popular exercise pretty much all over the world by now, promises practitioners with enough practice, practice, practice they can be slim and flexible.
So classes have opened all over Taiwan, filled with eager individuals struggling to bend themselves into bizarre positions while relaxing and having a good time.
Unfortunately, in Taichung it was perhaps the instructor who was a little over eager. The instructor began the class by introducing the bow pose, where an individual lies on their stomach, grasps their ankles and attempts to raise their hands and feet to the sky.
During the stretching routine, one female student was having a hard time and the instructor attempted to push her down into the stretch position.
Unfortunately, the instructor broke the student's femur, the large bone in your thigh. Although the yoga instructor has apologized and attempted to make financial amends, the former student has insisted on taking her to court.
Maybe they can take up a calming meditation class together after all the stressful litigation, one that doesn't require any stretching or bending.
