A tense interaction between motorcyclist Albert Valdes and Officer Kenneth MacLeod was recorded on Valdes’s camera after he was stopped for a license plate violation.
“Have a good day. Get out of my face before I decide that this may not be the best judgement that I’ve made,” MacLeod can be heard saying.
Valdes responded, “You have a great day, too, sir.”
“Trust me, I will,” MacLeod said.
“God bless you,” Valdes says with a sarcastic tone.
“You know what? I’ll throw your ass in jail.” MacLeod said as he walked back toward the motorcyclist. “You want to be a sarcastic bitch, I’ll be even a bigger bitch.”
After a few moments of strong eye contact, MacLeod continued, “You’re fucking with the wrong dude, bro, I’ve been here longer than you fucking been alive. I’ve put up with more shit than you can ever think of. You want to test me again, you’ll be finding Dade County Jail real hunky dory tonight.”
Valdes responded, “ok.”
The officer asked, “Which part do you want to play? Which part do you want to play, sir?”
“I would like to go to work, sir.” Valdes replied.
“Then don’t be a little wise-ass 20-year-old punk,” the officer said before spelling his name out and storming back to his squad car.
The 20-year-old biker said on YouTube that he made the sarcastic “God Bless You” comment after MacLeod wrote him a $1,000 ticket for having his license plate flipped up. He also said he has 10 minutes of additional footage of the officer yelling at him.
Maybe Macleod still has a problem with motorcyclists since he was shot while approaching a man who was walking a motorcycle down the street back in 1992.
