Police are holding a Denver man without bond for allegedly murdering his roommate and their friend last Wednesday night.
Police said Jose King, 22, shot his roommate Amanda Anders, 19, and their friend Nancy Worrell at a French Quarters apartment in Southeast Denver.
Around 11 p.m., neighbors reportedly heard arguing followed by several gunshots.
One of King’s neighbors also heard a car flying over speedbumps in the parking lot, which prompted him to check on the apartment. He found the bodies and called police.
King drove to his parents’ house in Castle Rock and reportedly told his dad he had come to say goodbye.
His father called police and said he was worried about King.
Castle Rock police spotted King’s minivan shortly after and pulled him over. When King exited the vehicle, he reportedly threw down his car keys and asked police to take him in.
Police said he admitted to the murders but told them he couldn’t remember what the argument was about.
He is being held in Denver without bond for two counts of first degree murder.
Anders was reportedly a student a local college and Worrell, 22, was studying to be a pastry chef, according to her Facebook page.
