Israel stabbing attacks: Israeli soldier and woman killed, two wounded

An Israeli soldier and a woman were stabbed to death by Palestinians in two separate attacks on Monday.

An off-duty Israeli soldier in uniform, identified as Almog Shiloni, was stabbed multiple times on the platform of Hahaganah station in Tel Aviv at around midday, Haaretz reported.

The suspect was a Palestinian man from the Askar refugee camp in Nablus, who entered Israel illegally, reported Haaretz. He was later found by the police in the stairway of a nearby building, lying flat on his back after reportedly collapsing. The suspect did not resist arrest and is being held in custody.

A 25-year-old woman, identified as Dalia Lamkus was killed in another stabbing incident just hours later near the West Bank settlement of Alon Shvut, Haaretz reported.

CCTV footage shows a Palestinian man trying to run people over in his car. He then got out of the vehicle and stabbed Lamkus to death before wounding two other people, Reuters reported.

The attacker, who allegedly belongs to the militant group Islamic Jihad, was shot and wounded by a guard, according to Reuters.
