There’s always been a special, dark little corner of the internet reserved for bigots and racists to be able to spew vitriolic content into the world.
Now thanks to incidents like the mass outrage in Ferguson, Missouri, some of these feeble-minded individuals are taking to social media to say “I told you so” in very hurtful ways.
A Tumblr page entitled “Racists Getting Fired” was set up in order to exact some vigilante justice in this arena, with the hopes that those who espouse hate speech would get doxxed by the general public and in turn be fired from their jobs if and when their workplace was notified.
On one hand, this could be seen as a violation of free speech. On the other hand some view the internet akin to a street corner in a busy city. Would you say such things in the middle of Times Square and not expect a reaction?
At any rate, it didn’t take long for someone to game the page by framing their ex-girlfriend here saying some pretty crappy stuff...and then putting her info out there so the internet could do its thing and get her fired and publicly humiliated.
Except it was really her butt-hurt boyfriend who changed his facebook page to resemble his ex’s. Luckily her employer, AMC theaters did a little investigating and found the truth. Kudos to them for trusting their employee’s word over her crappy-ass emo ex-boyfriend.
No wonder she broke up with you, you dick!
