Mia Khalifa was recently announced adult website Pronhub’s number one ranked star.
The news has bought the Lebanese-born 21-year old even more attention than usual, including attention of the unwanted kind from back home.
Background: Mia grew up in Lebanon before moving to Maryland as a teen and then going to University in Texas. Now she’s based in Miami because it’s warmer when you take your clothes off for a living.
The Internet being the Internet, Pronhub’s revelation sparked a backlash, with conservative Lebanese types laying into Mia, so to speak.
But Mia doesn’t seem phased by all the criticism, and has been busy replying to her detractors in person.
And for every hater, there is also a fan Tweeting and Facebooking support for Mia’s decision to let it all hang out online. So it seems Mia will continue doing what she does best, for now at least.
