This old motorcycle and scooter shop in Osaka has been around for quite some time, and the same owner has been running it for over 20 years.
The owner said that about 20 years ago, his shop was broken into and the thieves stole a few helmets and a second hand gas tank. The owner had already written off the loss a long time ago.
But one of the thieves couldn’t forget about the crime and on Christmas Day a letter with an apology and $250 USD arrived at the shop. The thief explains that he and his friends hadn’t targeted the shop, but that it was a crime of opportunity as the door had been left ajar.
The owner of the shop said he was happy that the thief still had a sense of responsibility even after all these years and he will donate the $250 USD to a charity to help troubled teens.
