Footage from a security camera inside the office of F&R Auto Sales in Westport, Massachusetts is causing an uproar among commenters online, as it shows a pizza delivery guy being ripped off of $7 in change.
The video shows employes of the car dealership getting into an argument with Palace Pizza delivery man, Jarrid Tansey, over $7 that he mistook as his his tip when they wanted it back as change.
The video begins Tansey returning the $7 in cash to someone at the dealership, and by the end one employee threatens to “put my foot in your ass” while another says he wants Tansey fired.
Lianette Hernandez, a cook and cashier at Palace Pizza said the total bill for the pizza and drinks was just over $42, and dealership workers gave Tansey $50 in two twenties and two fives. In the video, Tansey says he confirmed that F&R Auto Sales wanted to give him the entire $50, but the dealership then called the pizza place back and forced Tansey to to return with the $7-and-change, according to Boston.com
This means Tansey was left without a tip.
“It just doesn’t make sense why you’d hand me a bill that you were just gonna have me drive back here to give you back anyway,” Tansey says in the video. “I’m not mad, I just had to waste my resources coming back here.”
One of the office-workers then responded, “So listen: The manager apologized once for you. Do you want him to apologize again for you?”
The video was originally posted on YouTube, but it has since been made private.
Online commenters have sided with Tansey, flooding review pages of F&R Auto Sales with negative ratings.
