In Hubei, China, police arrested a man who had set up and blackmailed his wife’s lover.
Mr. Yen’s job took him away from his young newly wed wife often, so his wife, Wang Xiao, found comfort in the arms of a coworker, Mr. Li.
The husband, Mr. Yen, returned last month and discovered his wife had been cheating on him for the past 6 months. He forced her to message her lover and arrange to meet at a hotel.
At the hotel, Mr. Yen and four of his friends waited for Mr. Li to arrive and then busted into the hotel room and severely beat him. Mr. Yen showed the lover his marriage certificate and demanded that Mr. Li give him all the cash in his wallet. Unsatisfied with the USD $560 in cash, Mr. Yen demanded that Mr. Li transfer the contents of his bank account to him. He even made him sign a contract to that effect.
But when Mr. Yen appeared in court demanding Mr. Li’s life savings the police felt that Mr. Li was pressured into signing the contract and arrested the jilted husband for extortion. The police have also collected Mr. Yen’s four friends and his wife is currently out on in bail as she must care for their 2 year old child.
