We meet Andres Serrano as the artist brings a new show to the museum of Vence in the south of France. Taking in portraiture and still lifes, the exhibition carries Serrano’s characteristic religious gaze. No stranger to controversy, the artist’s photograph "Piss Christ" sparked an outcry when it was exhibited in Avignon in 2011. We ask him about freedom of expression when it comes to potentially offensive works of art, and how he sees Cuba’s cultural future panning out.
