Psycho murders married couple who treated him like a son, buried their bodies in the mountains

Police in the Taiwanese city of Hsinchu this week finally located the bodies of a missing married couple presumed dead last year.

The find came after 22-year-old Wu Zhang confessed to murdering the couple nearly six months ago.

Zhang, who originally hails from southeastern Taiwan, made his way to the northwestern city, just outside the island nation’s capital, Taipei, in hopes of finding work. The murdered husband eventually hired him and the couple, who reportedly treated him like a son, also rented out a room in their home to him.

Zhang went on to borrow about US$600 from the couple to buy a car, promising his boss he’d pay it back.

But the young man now says that no matter how much he worked, he just couldn’t seem to earn enough to pay the rent and pay back his loan and began to feel overly guilty about the debt he owed the friendly couple.

So one evening he got the husband and wife drunk, then strangled them both to death in their sleep. Then, using the car he still owed them money for, Zhang drove the two bodies to Alishan, a mountain resort in central Taiwan, where he dumped them.

The crazed man next drove back to the apartment he’d once shared with the pair and set it ablaze.

He then pretended to return from a trip to find the house burned and his landlord/employers missing. Continuing to play the victim card he moved in with his girlfriend, who happened to be the murdered wife’s niece.

Now, six months later, Wu Zhang has finally confessed to the murders and police have recovered the couples’ bleached bones.

So much for being a good Samaritan...
