Police are asking for the public's help in identifying several suspects that have robbed at least four check-cashing businesses in southwest Houston since January.
According to Houston police, the suspects are described only as three to four black males between the ages of 18 and 22, about 6 feet tall and weighing between 160 to 190 pounds.
The incidents occurred at the following locations:
6345 Windswept about 11:30 a.m. on January 21
6375 Skyline Drive about 10 a.m. on January 16
3226 Fondren about 9:20 a.m. on January 7
6277 Bissonnet Street about 9:50 a.m. on January 5
In each heist, the suspects are seen entering the store and trying to pry open the security door with a crowbar.
Then one suspect enters through the ceiling to bypass the security and lets the other suspects inside the cashier booth.
The suspects then flee the scene in stolen different Dodge vehicles, which turn up near each incident.
In at least two of the incidents, shots were fired at people inside the bullet-proof glass of the booths, but no one was injured.
