Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and its an excuse for couples to spend some money and some time together. As for single people, it’s an excuse for them to hit the vodka bottle.
Anyway, an extremist Hindu group called Hindu Mahasabha said that they will police social media as well as popular romantic spots for couples exchanging messages of love, flowers, gifts, kisses, or other public displays of affection. For Hindu couples caught expressing affection for the opposite gender will be forcibly married, because to express love and not marry immediately is just not-Hindu according to the group.
The extremist group also has 8 teams ready to monitor social media and will contact individuals expressing affection to request their contact information to begin planning the wedding. For those who refuse to provide contact information the group will be contacting their mommies and daddies.
But that’s only if both parties are Hindu, if not then the couple must undergo a ‘purification’ ritual.
Local police said they will also be patrolling popular romantic spots and any forced marriages will be met with legal action.
This is what happens when Cupid gets bitten by a rabid dog.
