An student at the University of Illinois at Chicago has been charged with sexually assaulting a 19-year-old woman after he allegedly attempted to recreate the movie, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’

Mohammed Hossain, 19, a bio-nuclear engineering student is accused of tying up a fellow classmate and raping her in his dormitory.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Hossain and the unidentified 19-year-old victim had previously been intimate on a couple of occasions, but weren't dating.

Assistant State's Attorney Sarah Karr, claims that Hossain tied the unwilling girl’s hands and feet with a belt, and stuffed a necktie into her mouth.

After the victim was bound, he used a knit cap to cover the woman’s eyes and began to beat her.

The 19-year-old victim “began shaking her head and crying,” pleading for Hossain to stop Karr said.

Prosecutors said Hossain’s roommate came home soon after and tried to prevent him from entering the dorm.

The victim managed to escape and tell another person and then called Chicago police.

According to police reports, Hossain was arrested later that night at another dorm building in the 700 block of South Halsted Street.

Police say that while he admitted to having done “something wrong”, referred to the alleged rape by saying that he and the girl were just reenacting scenes from "Fifty Shades of Grey.”

Mohammed Hossain is being held on a $500,000 bond.
