Syrian rebels have unveiled a homemade weapon that fires giant gas canisters at enemy targets.
The weapon, named The "Borkan" ("Volcano") is constructed by putting explosives into gas canisters before loading the canisters into tubes mounted on diggers. The device can fire four shells at a time a distance of about 2 miles.
Photos showed al-Shamiyah Front fighters in Aleppo launching the missiles towards forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad yesterday, according to the Daily Mail.
The Front was created roughly two months ago, after rebel groups fighting in Syria's northern Aleppo province agreed to form an alliance.
