Presidents Raul Castro and Barack Obama held a historic meeting on Saturday on the sidelines of the 7th Summit of the Americas. The two leaders agreed that there were still deep and significant difference between the two countries. Nevertheless, the US president said a new era in relations between the two countries was opening that could have a historic impact on the hemisphere and the world. Raul Castro expressed agreement with Obama's remarks, including on human rights and freedom of the press, and said Havana was willing to discuss these and every other issue in relation to both Cuba and the United States. teleSUR
