Ecuador has invested heavily in multicultural, bilingual education. More than 2,000 schools are teaching close to 150,000 students in the country's 14 main indigenous languages, particularly Quechua. The results have been favorable, with the number of indigenous students graduating high school rising from 89% in 2006 to 96% in 2014 while those holding bachelors' degrees has more than doubled.
