Police in California were recently involved in an unusual pursuit. Instead of a high speed chase, they followed a vehicle as it slowly made it's way down the freeway. The pursuit started around 6:45 in the morning, when deputies attempted to pull an SUV over in Ventura county.
The man behind the wheel of the SUV was seemingly talking on his phone while officers were chasing him.
Eventually, California Highway Patrol officers took control. About a half hour after it had begun, an officer executed a PIT maneuver, or a Precision Immobilization Technique, which caused the SUV to spin and finally come to a stop.
The driver then exited the vehicle with his phone still up to his ear. He soon put his hands up and got down on the ground.
