Venezuelan military exercises show readiness to defend country

Ten days of military exercises ended in Caracas on Saturday amid tensions with Washington stemming from the recent affronts to the sovereignty of Venezuela and its democratically elected government. Around 80, 000 troops demonstrated their readiness to defend the country from foreign aggression. President Nicolas Maduro stressed that Venezuela does not bomb any other country, nor does it have plans to conquer any other nation. Maduro also announced that Russia will soon be sending more weaponry to Venezuela to strengthen its defense forces. teleSUR
