From village Hassanpur in Ropar on 20th Sept 1999, 3 youth were picked up by Punjab Police and in the torture process one of them namely Devinder Singh died in police custody. LFHRI provided the victim family free legal aid and we were able to get compensation to the family and conviction to the accused police officers.
