When haute couture becomes ready-to-wear for Alaïa, Jarrar and Kayrouz

Industry rebel Azzedine Alaïa revealed his new collection in the heart of the Marais. It's a master class in couture, combining sensuality with almost monk-link simplicity. Bouchra Jarrar set up her haute couture label five years ago, having first headed up design at Balenciaga, Gaultier and Lacroix. Finally, Rabih Kayrouz is dedicating his collection to Baal, an anarchic and ultimately self-destructive poet.

That’s certainly quite a bit to juggle, but by the looks of these latest collections, no one is better placed to do it than these three designers.
