Argentine authorities have accused the Conservative government in Great Britain of using the issue of the Malvinas Islands for electoral purposes ahead of May's elections. Yesterday London announced it was increasing military spending in the Malvinas -control of which is disputed by Argentina- by US$430 million in response to a supposed rising threat from Buenos Aires. teleSUR
