The Colombian peace talks currently underway in Havana yielded further results when the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, the country's main rebel group, agreed to remove mines and other explosives in areas under its control. The rebels said, however, that they would continue to use explosives in self-defense operations as long as the government does not accept a bilateral ceasefire. teleSUR
