Tunisia’s president has announced a third attacker was involved in the deadly shooting spree in the capital’s Bardo Museum.
The Interior Ministry has released surveillance footage from the site, showing two men with assault rifles.
But in an interview on French television, President Essebsi was adamant security cameras had picked up three aggressors.
When questioned by a journalist, he goes on to confirm two of the three were killed by security forces. One, he added, is on the run, but won’t escape capture for long.
Wednesday’s shootings resulted in the deaths of 20 foreign tourists. Since the incident, 20 suspected militants have been detained ten of whom are thought to have been directly involved in the museum attack.
