Colombia has an estimated 9,500 political prisoners and their situation will have to be addressed and resolved for peace to be achieved. In Bogota, the Coalition for the Freedom and Dignity of Political Prisoners held a forum to discuss political crimes in the context of the ongoing peace talks aimed at ending the country's five-decade long armed conflict. One of the most important cases involves Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia leader Simon Trinidad, currently serving a jail sentence in the United States. Natalia Margarita reports from Bogota.
