Brazil: Rousseff presents anti-corruption bills

2015-03-19 0

Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff presented a package of anti-corruption bills to the country's congress. The measures come in the wake of a major corruption scandal rocking the state run oil company Petrobras and massive protest demonstrations led by the right-wing opposition. Rouseff's measures include confiscating the property of officials who cannot document the origin of such assets and barring anyone with a criminal record from holding public office. teleSUR
