Reports of gunfire at Tunisia parliament

Three gunmen have attacked the Parliament in Tunisia as it was in session, according to local Tunisian radio reports.

One MP said there were injured people inside the parliament following the attack. The Interior Minister announced that at least one tourist has been wounded after the gunmen fled to the nearby Bardo Museum where there are reports of hostage situation underway.

Committee meetings were suspended as MPs were told to retreat to a safe location.

A witness near the scene told Reuters newsagency that there is a huge police presence moving to evacuate the building.
