PHIR Se Game Utha Den Feat. Justin Bibis ICC WORLDCUP SONG 2015 Supporting Paksitan Team for Quarterfinals SOng PHIR SE Game Utha Den Justin Bibis make debut in Coca-Cola new Cricket Anthem
Every four years Pakistanis look forward to one thing; the cricket World Cup. The World Cup season is not just about matches, but all the festivities that come along with them. Donning green jerseys, staying up all night, eating our favourite local snacks and trolling our friends from across the border.
One of the most crucial things to look forward to during the World Cup season (besides all the festivities of course) is the World Cup anthem. This year’s anthem, Phir Se Game Uthadein got mixed reviews. Many people hated it, some loved it and some were just indifferent towards it. Though the song was produced by Strings, it didn’t settle well with the Pakistani audience.
It seems that producers of the song realised there was something missing. Hence, they decided to bring in the Bieber girls, who just recently took Pakistan by storm with their soulful rendition of Justin Bierber’s 2010 hit, Baby.
Phir Se Game Uthadein ‘Anthem 4’ features the girls starting the song off with their version of Baby then transitioning into The world is coming down, the flags are up. The carefully crafted song then picks up the pace incorporating a soulful Qawwali. The video also features Lahore’s pehelwaans, dancing horses, and of course, the unmatched beauty of Lahore.
Before this version, Coca-Cola upped their game by producing an acapella version featuring a choir and voices from all over Karachi.
The uplifting track is a Coke Studio rendition of Who Rule the World by Kasey Carlone and Matt Slogett which was used as the theme song of the 1992 World Cup in Australia which Pakistan won.
