Dozens feared dead in Myanmar ferry disaster

Around 50 people are feared dead after a ferry sank off Myanmar.

The boat, which had more than 200 passengers onboard, was swamped by huge waves during bad weather.

The ferry – thought to be government owned – is said to have gone down near Myebon in Rakhine state late on Friday.

Search and rescue teams are scouring the waters for survivors,helped by the navy.
