Xavier Veilhan has sculpted some of the most important contributors to pop music over the past half-century. They include Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra’s producer, Quincy Jones, and the faceless French electronic music duo Daft Punk, who have taken their helmets off to reveal themselves to the world for the very first time.
The internationally renowned artist has immortalised the often faceless talent behind our favourite tunes for a dual exhibition at the Perrotin Galleries in Paris and New York. He speaks to Eve Jackson about persuading them to do it, using 3D technology and why he wanted music producers to live forever in his art.
