Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Wednesday said that that Rangers’ raid at Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) headquarter Nine-Zero was as per the law and that it was carried out upon intelligence reports, Dunya News reported.
In a statement, federal minister termed the raid on the MQM headquarter completely according to the law. He said that the raid was carried out upon intelligence report.
Ch Nisar said that it is the responsibility of the Rangers and the police to act within the bounds of law. He said it was MQM that wanted a military-style operation in Karachi.
The federal minister said that all parties were taken into confidence before starting the Karachi operation.
“It was decided that political affiliations will not come in the way of the operation”, he said.
