Peru: Gov't using anti-terrorist laws to criminalize protests

Peruvian human rights advocates charge that the government is using anti-terrorism laws to clamp down on left-wing activists. The National Human Rights Commission reported that 40 civilians have been killed at demonstrations with no law enforcement officials prosecuted while 32 activists have been detained under anti-terrorism legislation.
