Dr. Jaime Galarza Zavala, recognized as one of 120 direct victims of the CIA in Ecuador, continues to speak out about his personal experiences of being imprisoned and interrogated. Based on interviews with former CIA agent Phillip Agee, Galarza published a book entitled The CIA Against Latin America. He quotes Agee as saying that when he operated in Ecuador from 1960 to 1963, the CIA was responsible for the overthrow of two presidents, the infiltration of various political parties and organizations, and the planting of bombs to frame leftist groups. Foreign Minister of Ecuador Ricardo Patiño say that these secret policies continue today. Liz Sherffius reports from Quito for teleSUR.
