A Colombian military delegation comprised of five generals and an admiral arrived in Havana to participate in the peace talks. The military delegation will meet on Thursday with negotiating teams from both the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Although the military delegation is not empowered to make decisions, it is expected to issue major recommendations. This is the first time that high ranking military officials are participating in peace talks. Meanwhile, a Gallup poll shows 72% of Colombians support the peace negotiations.
