Ecuador's Land Law seeks to ensure food sovereignty, redistribute land, and stimulate domestic agricultural production. The National Assembly would be responsible for determining which lands, if unproductive, would be expropriated. If the law is approved, the National Assembly would create a land fund, providing credit and support to those campesinos seeking greater access to land. The expectation is that this will also boost agricultural exports. Liz Scherffius reports from Quito. teleSUR
