In fifties, Jagmohan's voice held millions under its spell on the radio Ceylon; think of sheer the flowing poetry, think of an enchanted evening with your beloved, cups of wine, and you and your love under a star shrouded sky.
His unique style of singing brought him the title of 'Sursagar' in 1945. Before him, only Pankaj Mullick was honored with this title. Tagore songs and lyrics of Nazrul Islam sung by Jagmohan made his name a household word in Bengal. He was equally famous for his songs in Hindi, Gujrati and Marathi. In a career over spanning over 40 years, he has recorded over 400 songs.
