The 2nd round of Cuba/US negotiations aimed at reestablishing diplomatic relations began Friday. Both sides said the discussions were forward and positive. Cuba once again expressed its desire to narrow the disagreements with Washington. While the issue of removing Havana from the State Department's list of states that support terrorism remains on the table, Josefina Vidal, head of US affairs at the Cuban Foreign Relations Ministry, said while it is important, it is not a precondition for reopening embassies. State Department official Roberta Jaconson reported on upcoming visits, including one in late March to discuss human rights issues. Alexandra Hall reports from Washington. teleSUR
