On Thursday Lima Court Judge Lizy Bejar Monge charged that Editorial El Comercio is using its considerable media power to influence the results of an appeal motion against her currently in the docket. Bejar accepted a lawsuit to block El Comercio from expanding its already massive media holdings. The media giant responded by filing two cases, civil and criminal, against Bejar. The charges against the judge were not upheld, but are now being appealed. Rael Mora reports from Lima. teleSUR
