The $150,000 pearl gown worn to the recent Academy Awards by Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has reportedly been stolen from her West Hollywood hotel room.

The pearl-encrusted gown worn by actress Lupita Nyong’o to the 2015 Academy Awards has reportedly been stolen from her hotel room.

The Los Angeles County sheriff’s office got a call on Wednesday night at about 11:30 pm notifying them of the theft of a dress with an estimated value of $150,000 from the London West Hollywood. 

Reports confirm that the missing dress is the one famously covered in 6,000 pearls, created for the Oscar-award winning actress by designer Francisco Costa for the Calvin Klein label.

Authorities began investigating the incident on Thursday morning, including reviewing hotel surveillance footage during the period the crime was thought to have happened--between 9am and 8pm on Tuesday.
