NASA Captures Unusual Comet Moving Past Sun

NASA and the European Space Agency's Solar and Heliospheric Observatory which is commonly referred to as SOHO, captured a rare comet moving past the sun between the dates of February 18th and 21st.

This comet is actually called a "non-group comet", as it's not from an identified family. NASA notes, "Most comets seen by SOHO belong to the Kreutz family – all of which broke off from a single giant comet many centuries ago."
