An Egyptian court has sentenced to five years in jail a leading figure in Egypt's 2011 uprising, in what human rights observers called a slap in the country's justice system.
The court in Cairo handed the sentence against Alaa Abdel Fattah on Monday, saying that the prominent blogger and anti-Mubarak activist, violated Egypt's protest law.
