Gaza: Extreme hardships lead to innovative solutions

The recent closure of the Rafah border by Egyptian authorities has worsened the 9-year Israeli blockade of Gaza and heightened electricity and gas shortages. In the face of these hardships, however, some Palestinians have come up with innovative solutions. A first-year university student has designed an apparatus that converts water and chemical powders into hydrogen gas that can power an electricity generator and produce cooking gas. This hydrogen power solution is just one person’s attempt to deal with the severe energy problems. Noor Harazeen reports from Gaza for teleSUR.
