How do you fight Islamist terrorism without espousing the vocabulary of the far-right? This is precisely the situation France's ruling Socialists find themselves in. On the one hand, they are proclaiming their willingness to fight radical Islam tooth and nail. On the other, they are vowing to distance themselves from the rhetoric of the far-right National Front by not stigmatising Muslims.
