At least 19 people were killed after shooting and a series of explosions in a Shia mosque during Friday prayers in the north-western Pakistani city of Peshawar, according to police.
One eyewitness told a media outlet five or six men wearing military uniforms broke into the mosque and started shooting. He said one of the attackers blew himself up.
The Pakistan Taliban, who are fighting against the state to set up a hardline Sunni theocracy in the country claimed responsibility.
It is the latest sectarian attack to hit Pakistan.
