Three Muslim students who attended both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University were shot and killed on Tuesday evening.

The suspect is a 46-year-old man, identified as Craig Stephen Hicks.
He is now in police custody for allegedly shooting all three victims in the head. Police have not revealed any potential motive for the shooting, but according to relatives, two of the victims may have had an issue with Hicks before their deaths.
Officers responded to a condominium complex, which is home to many college studetns, at approximately 5 p.m. after residents reported hearing gunshots. The victims, Yusor Mohammad Barakat, Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha and Deah Barakat were pronounced dead at the scene.
