Amazing. That’s how Karen Wurster with Lilly Diabetes describes her experience as a volunteer with the Lilly NCD Partnership in India last fall.
Karen has devoted most of her career to helping people with diabetes. But after serving as a Connecting Hearts Abroad ambassador in a rural village north of Delhi, the eyes of this seasoned diabetes professional were opened wider as she viewed the unique challenges of managing this chronic disease through a different lens.
